'Took me to the sun-kissed beaches and wildness of Cornwall. A beautiful story of love lost, interwoven with family dramas and lasting friendships. I have lived the book with each page turned and was sorry to say goodbye to all of the characters at the end' Reader review Rosamunde Pilcher's phenomenal and heart-warming bestseller exploring the nuances of family drama Artist's daughter Penelope

Keeling can look back on a full and varied life: a Bohemian childhood in London and Cornwall, an unhappy wartime marriage, and the one man she truly loved. She has brought up three children - and learned to accept them as they are. Yet she is far too energetic and independent to settle sweetly into pensioned-off old-age. And when she discovers that her most treasured possession, her father's painting, The Shell Seekers , is now worth a small fortune, it is Penelope who must make the decisions that will determine whether her family can continue to survive as a family, or be split apart. READERS ADORE THE SHELL SEEKERS : 'A beautifully crafted story of the intricacies of family lives stretched over time. The characters and settings are so well described it's as if the details were plucked from my imagination ' Reader review ' One of my favourite novels . It is a book I turn to again and again , whenever I am dejected or in need of comfort , and in doing so, restore some of my equilibrium ' Reader review ' Excellent book . . . Rosamunde Pilcher never fails ' Reader review ' I have read this book so many times and each time I read it I'm transported into the story as if it was the first time I had read it ' Reader review 'The book grabs your attention on page one and keeps it until the last page. Not only is this an enjoyable read, it's also a compelling read. I really struggled to put this book down ' Reader review PRAISE FOR ROSAMUNDE PILCHER: 'A beautiful, haunting story . . . that will tug at your heart strings ' Prima 'A huge warm saga . . . A deeply satisfying story written with love and confidence' Maeve Binchy in The New York Times Book Review 'A long, beguiling saga , typically English . . . Splendid ' Mail on Sunday
